History making show organiser to host the first sundeck catwalk in Dubai

Famously known for turning England’s iconic London Tower Bridge and the world’s highest PETRONAS Twin Towers’ Skybridge into a phenomenal catwalk, entrepreneur and model Jessica Minh Anh is about to mark yet another milestone in the fashion world with the first ever catwalk on the sundeck of an international cruise ship.

The highly anticipated J Winter Fashion Show will take place on the luxurious Italian Costa Atlantica on 17 January 2013 in the Middle East superpower Dubai. Premiering a combination of haute couture, bridal, and high end ready wear collections from the UAE, Portugal, Lebanon, Russia, Italy, Hong Kong, Greece, and Vietnam on the 70 metre catwalk overlooking Dubai’s skyline, the event is set to refine modern fashion show standards.

The grand catwalk will start with a series of couture and bridal dresses from the world’s famous Oscar De La Renta, Lebanon celebrity designer Aiisha Ramadan, Hong Kong power house Lusan Mandongus, and Greek talent Christos, which will be available at Dubai’s high end Frost Boutique. The exquisite collections will be accompanied by million dollar jewellery pieces from Graff Diamonds, Roberto Coin, Utopia, Magerit, and Leo Pizzo among others from the Middle East’s leading retailer Damas Jewellery.

Russian award winning designer Polina Raudson will brighten up the catwalk with her new retro and futuristic collection named ‘Philosophy of Space’, while Portuguese famous bridal brand Joana Montez & Patrícia de Melo is inserting elegance, class, and sophistication to the show. To add extra glamour to the catwalk, Vietnamese celebrity designer Hoang Hai will present his new season richly embellished floor-length dresses. Representing the beauty of the Middle East, House of Art Slouchy’Z will reveal their latest Abayas and evening collection.

The show will also feature global luxury swimwear leader Gottex, with their brand new collection incorporating tribal elements, graphic shapes, and bold colours. J models will strike down the lengthy runway in Gottex unique pieces wearing UAE’s very own footwear brand FLOPEDS, a revolutionary concept of anti-flat flip-flop which combines comfort with style. “After seeing the phenomenal cake dress worn by Jessica Minh Anh at J Spring Fashion Show earlier this year, I realised creativity is highly celebrated on their many successful showcases. Our FLOPEDS are not the usual catwalk materials, but with this involvement we want to show how fashion can be a lot more comfortable and practical.” said Douglas Raymond, CEO of FLOPEDS.

The exclusive guest list includes some of the most influential UAE Royals, luxury brand managers, retail group directors, UAE and international press, and participating brands and designers. VIPs will enjoy world class drinks and canapés at the VIP Networking Party after the show in the famous Café Florian on board.
